We are pleased to announce that the 25th Anniversary of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII) will be celebrated on June 27, 2025, in Ancona, Italy, at the historic Mole Vanvitelliana.

Founded in Ancona in 2000 with the signing of the "Ancona Declaration", the AII has played a pivotal role in fostering regional cooperation, promoting European integration, and strengthening economic and political stability in the Adriatic-Ionian area. Among its key achievements, the AII has been laying the foundation for the adoption of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), which was adopted in 2014 and continues to drive sustainable development across the region.

The event will bring together high-level institutional representatives, experts, and stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of the past 25 years and discuss the future of regional cooperation. The official program will include institutional greetings from key European and national representatives, followed by two thematic panels on enlargement and European integration, and on the role of civil society as a driver for regional cooperation.

Further details, including the official agenda and registration process, will follow soon. In the meantime, we kindly invite you to save the date and mark your calendar for this important event.
