Serbian Ambassador in Italy Ana Hrustanovic, chairman of the AII, visited the Permanent Secretariat in Ancona. The meeting was focused on the role of Serbia in the AII and the future of the Adriatic Ionian Macro-Region.
Secretary General Amb. Pigliapoco participated to the event organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic in the occasion of the 66th session of General Assembly of UN, with the participation of all Ministers of Foreign Affairs representing the member States of AII, CEI and RCC.
Secretary General Amb. Pigliapoco inaugurated the Adriatic Mediterranean Festival, with the participation of the Mayor of Ancona, Mr. Fiorello Gramillano, the Toursim Alderman of Region Marche, Mrs Serenella Moroder and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Ancona, Mr. Rodolfo Giampieri. With the occasion the Moroccan writer Tahar Ben Jelloun was awarded for his engagement in the fight against racism.
President of Region Marche, Gian Marco Spacca, with Secretary General Amb. Pigliapoco and other authorities opened, in Piazza Cavuor, Ancona, the event " The Adriatic Ionian Macro Region for the development of Europe".
The first Committee of Senior Officials under Serbian Chairmanship met on June 21st in Belgrade with the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic. During meeting, the official exchange of function between Amb. Alessandro Grafini and the new AII-PS Secretary General Amb. Fabio Pigliapoco took place.
